The majestic plains of the Masai Mara plays host to one of the greatest spectacles on earth, the Great Wildebeest Migration from the Serengeti in Tanzania. From July through to October, the promise of rain and fresh grass inspires more than 1.3 million Wildebeest to take the treacherous journey north.
They descend across the border into the Mara, making a grand entrance in massive cloud of dust and noise to the life that is waiting for them across the horizon.
At the Mara River, they mass together on the banks, before taking the inevitable plunge into the raging waters, providing the ideal feeding opportunity for the Crocodile laying in wait.
The Mara is often referred to as the 'Kingdom of Lions'. These powerful hunters dominate these plains. The quick Cheetah is also common in the Mara, as well as Hyena and smaller predators like Jackal. Your overnight will be at Mara Intrepids Camp on a full board basis.
