Mfangano Island is located on the western shoreline of Mfangano Island in Lake Victoria, Kenya. Mfangano Island is open throughout the year. High season months August to October and December to March.
Road transfer:
Drive to Mbita on Lake Victoria (approximately 6 hours from Nairobi) and be picked up there for a boat ride to camp (approximately 45 minutes).
There are daily scheduled flights from Nairobi to Kisumu on Air Kenya (45 minutes). Continue onwards by either charter flight (approximately 10 minutes) or road and boat transfer (approximately 3 hours). There are daily charter flights from any Kenya lodging camp in the Masai Mara taking 40 minutes followed by a boat transfer to the camp which takes 15 minutes on average.

Please note:
There is a luggage restriction of 15 kilograms on all domestic flights. Extra luggage can be left at your base hotel in Nairobi or for Mfangano Island excursions in the Masai Mara.
