Loisaba Lodge : Kenya Safari : Accommodation

Loisaba is set on the escarpment with panoramic views, the main lodge has 7 rooms (4 doubles and 3 twins, all with en-suite bathrooms). The celebrated Star Beds (Kiboko and Koija) each comprising of 2 double Star Bed sleeping platforms and one large family platform which all have en-suite bathroom facilities and showers (accommodates 8 people). A separate truly exclusive, self-contained, serviced, house (with 2 bedrooms) is also available.

With two double en-suite bathrooms, this Kenya safari lodge has its own game drive vehicle and private cliff-top swimming pool. Its duplex dining room, bar and sitting room comes equipped with the very latest in home entertainment but with its verandah commanding an unequalled view, guests are unlikely to spend much time watching TV.

From the eye-level pool on the lip of the escarpment guests can see Mount Kenya; home to Elephant, Buffalo and snow - rising above a breathtaking landscape that heaves with wildlife; the Ewaso Nyiro River snakes across the valley floor at the foot of the cliff, attracting Lion, Gerenuk and Giraffe fom the dry country that lines its banks. In this challenging yet inviting environment, people too thrive. Loisaba Wilderness is a partnership between ranchers and pastoralists, researchers and guests who have joined together to protect this unique area from the more destructive incursions of man.

At this Kenya safari lodge visitors have all the facilities of the ranch at their disposal. There is a tennis court, gourmet restaurant and spa at the nearby lodge when guests want a change of scenery, but Loisaba House is entirely self-sufficient and private with its own dedicated staff. If anything has been forgotten, all you need do is ask and whatever you desire will be arranged.

The Cottage:
Loisaba Cottage lies at the foot of a towering escarpment in a secluded glade. The split-level cottage has two large bedrooms; its soaring main sitting area boasts a big fire-place for cosy evenings and wide windows looking out on to a superb garden. It has a bathroom guests will never forget; from the vast stone tub, windows open onto a view encompassing the magnificent Ewaso Nyiro River and beyond.

The cottage has its own dedicated staff, including an excellent cook, accustomed to providing the finest service without compromising the privacy for which Loisaba and its Cottage are famous. Here guests can expect total privacy and exclusivity - secluded and away from the main lodge, the Cottage is close enough for guests to be able to enjoy all the facilities, from the tennis court to the swimming pool.

Built entirely from local materials found on the ranch, the Cottage blends in seamlessly into the Laikipia environment. All sorts of game; from rare Grevys Zebra to Leopard and Eland - look on Loisaba Wilderness as home, aware that here they have nothing to fear.
