Experienced drivers in custom-built Land Rovers are always on hand to take guests on bush picnics or spectacular night game drives around the 60,000 acres of Loisaba Wilderness. Guests may do so, sure in the knowledge that they have an exclusive Cottage equipped with every modern convenience to which they may return, where a cool drink or a hot drink or a hot dinner made from ingredients grown on the farm will be waiting for them.
All Loisabas staff members; from shepherds to guides come from the local Maasai and Samburu tribes. They have a profound knowledge of the surrounding area and its inhabitants, large and small, a knowledge they are happy to share with the visitors whose continued presence here has made this ground-breaking experiment such a truimph.
Mount Kenya with its secluded trout-filled lakes and radiant glaciers is a fifteen minute helicopter flight fom the ranch. Lake Turkana or the coast are a little further, yet it is still possible to breakfast at Loisaba, surf Momabasas English Point, water ski at Kiwayu, toboggan the burning sand dunes of Suguta, snow ski Lenana and then return to Loisaba for sundowners on your own terrace. Kenyas a land of oppurtunities and at Loisaba we embrace them all.
Loisaba properties make no claims to be ordinary dwellings, nor is Loisaba Wilderness an everyday ranch for humdrum visitors. The House and the Cottage are exceptional places where extraordinary people can enjoy spectacular vacations in untold comfort and seclusion.
